Session One

HEC dropped Elara and Briar outside an old cottage, then shot back into the sky.

At first, the sisters did not recognize the place. Laundry hung nearby. Herbs dried outside. The garden looked neglected, but the cottage itself had been kept clean. Then they found Old Nettle, who told them she had been keeping the cottage tidy until F14 came back.

It was F14's cottage.

Old Nettle said F14 had been gone for about two months. Before the sisters could get many answers, she rushed toward town because Susul was about to perform.

The Concert​

Bellharrow was gathered for Susul's concert.

During the performance, fourteen Fractal Friends joined the song and created a rare Resonance: a moment when the music seemed to grow larger than the stage, the town, and even the sky around it.

Then Juniper Vale interrupted the concert.

F14 had left a recording for the sisters. It had been locked away at Waxhouse Records.

Someone had stolen it.

The Glass Briar​

Instead of going straight to the records, the sisters listened to Tessel, a strange young pattern-noticer who said the Bell Well was clicking again and that they needed something from the glass house.

At the Glass Briar, Elara, Briar, East, and West touched a windglass lily together. It opened and revealed the Zephyr Humming Feather, a relic that can transform its bearer into a radiant hummingbird.

The Broker​

Briar saw a translucent man that no one else seemed able to see.

Later, near Waxhouse Records, she found him again. He was one of Vel Ruin's brokers. He had F14's tape and planned to drop it into the Bell Well.

Briar recovered the tape. In the struggle that followed, the broker was killed.

From him, the sisters recovered another relic: the Singular Echo, a small time-glimpse charm that can undo one tiny failed moment.

F14's Message​

The sisters called HEC, who arrived in a rush of wind and pressure. HEC played the recovered recording.

F14 told the sisters to listen together.

She warned them not to trust urgency just because it sounds like care, not to trust a road just because it opens, and not to trust anyone who needs them separated before they can help.

HEC said F14 is safe for now.

She also said F14 trusted almost everyone in Bellharrow.

Almost.

Not the brokers.

What Changed​
